BGS renews partnership with SkyUp Airlines

Having won a tender, the international ground handling, aircraft fuel supply, and logistics service provider Baltic Ground Services (BGS) will be continuing its partnership with the Ukrainian carrier SkyUp Airlines. The companies have renewed their contract for into-plane fueling at Riga International Airport in Latvia and Tallinn International Airport in Estonia for another year. At the same time, BGS and SkyUp Airlines have signed a contract for into-plane fueling services at Kaunas International Airport, a new addition to SkyUp’s operations map.

BGS and Kazimieras Simonavicius University to jointly conduct authorised IATA training

The international ground handling, aircraft fuel supply, and logistics company Baltic Ground Services (BGS) is beginning its collaboration with the Kazimieras Simonavicius University (KSU) in Vilnius, Lithuania. BGS, a company belonging to the Avia Solutions Group, will be supporting its academic partner with organising authorised IATA training. BGS experts are now set to begin providing students with theoretical and practical instruction. Both parties expect this move to contribute to the nurturing of a new generation of aviation specialists.

BGS to supply aviation fuel to Wizz Air at Tallinn, Kaunas, and Vilnius airports

Having recently won one more tender, the international ground handling, aircraft fuel supply, and logistics service provider BGS will continue to supply aviation fuel to Wizz Air, its partner since 2011. The contract stipulates that fuel supply at Kaunas, and Vilnius airports, where BGS and Wizz Air were already working together, will continue for another year until 31 March 2025. Notably, this contract also marks the reintegration of the Tallinn location into the scope of the partnership for the same time period.

Baltic Ground Services (BGS) Group appoints Vytautas Cekanavicius as the new CEO

Baltic Ground Services (BGS) Group, an international provider of ground handling, aviation fuel supply, and logistics services, and a part of the Ireland-based Avia Solutions Group, announces changes in the management team. Vytautas Cekanavicius, who previously held the position of Head of Fueling at BGS Group, has been appointed as the new CEO, replacing Gytis Gumuliauskas starting from 6th of February.

Under the agreement, companies will remain in partnership till the end of March 2024.
