BGS signs Wizz Air at Warsaw Chopin airport

Baltic Ground Services signed an agreement with Europe’s leading low cost carrier Wizz Air. At Warsaw Frederic Chopin airport BGS will provide Wizz Air with integrated aircraft and passenger ground handling services. According to the contract, BGS will provide services for 65 Wizz Air flights per week. First Wizz Air flight to be serviced is scheduled for May 24th.

With experience of working with leading European airlines, we hope to contribute to Wizz Air success in Vilnius and satisfaction of the airline’s passengers” – said CEO of BGS Saulius Batavicius.
Wizz Air operates flights to 19 destinations from Warsaw. Around 9 mln. passengers were served in Warsaw airport in 2010. The airline also performs flights from Gdansk, Katowice, Poznan and Lodz airport.
Wizz Air has 14 bases across Europe. The airline offers flights to more than 150 destinations and operates a fleet of 34 Airbus A320 aircraft.
In April Wizz Air is also to launch a new base in Vilnius. In Vilnius airport, BGS will provide Wizz Air with ground handling and refuelling services.
