Baltic Ground Services established company in Germany

Kristijonas BakutisBaltic Ground Services (BGS), an international provider of ground handling, passenger service and aircraft fueling, which belongs to Avia Solutions Group, the largest aviation company in Eastern Europe, announces acquirement of the company in Germany. BGS will invest approximately 1.3 million euros in the new company.

Baltic Ground Services DE GmbH, will provide fueling services. In the near future, it is also planned to acquire 10 trucks with trailers (tanks) for transportation of aircraft fuel, diesel and petrol. Services will be provided to OMV Group, World Flight Services and other global aviation companies. 

„We have ambitious goals. We plan that in the first year of operation, the company in Germany will triple their fleet, attract new customers and reach 1.2 million euros annual turnover,“ says Kristijonas Bakutis, Business Development Manager at BGS. 

According to Kristijonas, in recent years BGS has been actively developing its activity in foreign markets. The acquisition of the new company in Germany is only one-step of the development strategy. Next year it is planned to begin operations at airports in the Czech Republic, Croatia and Georgia. The company will continue to invest in development not only in the field of aviation but in the field of carriage of dangerous goods by road (ADR) as well.

Baltic Ground Services DE GmbH will be managed by Evaldas Poskys. He has necessary experience in the field of logistics, as well as has excellent understanding of the specifics of this business, organization of international transportation and management of transport companies. It is planned that more Lithuanians will join his team.
